Accuracy in Media has been publicizing and exposing The New York Times’ biased reporting for nearly 40 years. We have asked for corrections, brought our concerns to Times reporters and top news executives, and organized protests drawing attention to irresponsible coverage. Since The Times continues to publish biased stories, it is time for more aggressive action. I hope this boycott will help news consumers realize that they can choose to reject the slanted reporting of The Times and other newspapers by refusing to support them financially.

The New York Times certainly isn’t the only national newspaper that slants its reporting, and it may not even be the most biased paper. But The Times is America’s most influential newspaper. As such, it frequently sets the agenda for the rest of the mainstream media. Its reports frequently go unchallenged, except by press watchdogs like AIM and websites like this. And that’s why we’re taking a stand against The Times – because any errors or distortions or half-truths it publishes are often repeated by the rest of the establishment media. By confronting The Times, we’re confronting bias at its source.

I hope you will join us by signing the petition, contacting Times executives and advertisers, visiting this website regularly, and telling everyone you know about the boycott. And of course, donations are tax-deductible and always appreciated. Let’s take a stand against unfair reporting, starting with The New York Times.
